Dear colleagues,
As part of the Agency’s on-going monitoring of Erasmus+ CBHE projects, the National Erasmus+ Office in Moldova, represented by Claudia Melinte, Cristina Gherman and Olga Ghilca carried out an impact monitoring visit to the project 574090-EPP-1-2016-1-IT-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP “Educational for Drone – eDrone”.
The monitoring was divided into two sessions: the field visit took place on 10/09/2020 at the State University of Moldova,at the premises of the Office of Education for eDrone (OED), followed by an online session with the project team on 26/10/2020. I would like to thank the members of the project team for their presence and for having provided updated information on the impact and the actual usage of the project results, on the effects of the project activities carried out and the results the project had on people, practices, organisations and national systems.
As a result of the monitoring and based on the information received the following conclusions can be drawn:
Although eDrone project was designed as a joint project, due to its broad configuration it has managed to have a national impact. This result was achieved due to a very proactive collaboration between the partners of the project, but also due to the collaboration with industries interested in drones’ implementation, with Civil Aviation Authority, and as a result an impulse was given in the elaboration of a national legislative framework in the domain of drones, which was absent beforehand.
All the partners of the project in Moldova, including those who don’t have a broad experience in participating in CBHE projects are now positive that they would be able to apply in future for their own CBHE projects once the call is announced, as due to eDrone project they learned the mechanisms of its working process.
The Office of Education for Drones established within this project has become an inter-university Centre for LLL education in drones for all interested individuals from really diverse industries – and has become a specialized training platform for specialists and trainers in the field of drones.
The COVID19 situation has suspended the project implementation for a period of six months (April-October 2020), but nevertheless the Moldovan partners have succeeded to continue its running by introducing blended trainings for those who have applied to study for the eDrone programme.
In view of the above, we would like to draw your attention to the following recommendations that should be taken into account:
- It would be recommended to develop a good dissemination strategy in order to attract even more attendees to study within the eDrone Continuous Vocational Training programme in the future;
- As the project has managed to have a national impact, over-achieving its initial objectives, the recommendation is to pass on this experience to other national projects, but also to keep and develop the created connections with national authorities and enterprises;
- As the project has proved to have significant perspective in agriculture field, it is advised to apply for a new CBHE project which would focus on this domain of drones’ implementation in particular, in order to develop Offices for Education for Drones (OED) in universities with agrarian profile;
- It is recommended to respect Erasmus+ Visual Identity and Logos Guidelines in all physical and web promo materials of eDrone project.
Please provide the Agency (France DANTIN ) with information on how you have addressed the before mentioned points at the latest when sending your final report.
With best regards,
Claudia Melinte
